Michael Jones BA (Econ), MAICD, SIA, AIBF
Michael is the Non-executive Chairman of Canterbury Hill Advisory and is involved in its strategic development and high level transaction advisory involvement.
He is currently Chief Executive of the Brumbies Rugby Club in Canberra and has also had several Chief Executive appointments in a range of large companies and has been on the Board of several public companies. Roles have included: Team Australia America’s Cup; Yachting Australia; and founder and CEO of Australiawide Airlines (trading as Rex) which acquired and merged Kendell and Hazelton airlines.
Prior to this Michael headed Raytheon Inc (USA) operations in Australia and SE Asia for a number of years following its acquisition in 1998 of the Aerospace Group of Companies which he founded in 1994. Michael has significant experience in a wide range of corporate finance transactions and has been involved as principal advisor in the sale and acquisition or merger of several high profile companies.
Michael’s area of expertise spans: mergers and acquisitions; strategic planning and deal structuring; operations analysis; and enterprise valuation.
Simon Day BEcon, ACA, F Fin
With over 25 years experience in Corporate Advisory and Finance, Simon has a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of corporate advisory and finance transactions.
Simon’s area of expertise spans: mergers and acquisitions; capital raisings (both public and private); acquisitions and divestments; strategic reviews; capital structure option analysis; and corporate valuations.
Simon has experience in transaction management, finance evaluation, enterprise valuations, financial modelling, due diligence and documentation preparation.
Previously with Deloitte Corporate Finance, ANZ Investment Bank and Price Waterhouse Corporate Finance in London and Melbourne.
Brenton Martin FCA, MAICD
Brenton has over 40 years of professional experience with a wide range of corporate advisory, transaction and management experience.
Brenton’s area of expertise includes mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, business strategy reviews, strategic planning, enterprise valuations and management. Brenton is also company director and executive with extensive operational, management and transactional experience across a range of industries and disciplines. Experience includes both executive and advisory roles.
Brenton has also been Chief Executive with The In-Wine Group Australia and a former Victorian Managing Parter of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.
He also sits on a number of private company boards and is an adviser to a number of enterprises with a specific focus on the SME and Family Business sectors.
